Inside Big Poppa's Skate Shop in Woodstock, Georgia

We opened a shop
because Woodstock skaters deserved
somewhere real to
roll.

8572 Hickory Flat Hwy in Woodstock, GA — skater-owned and open to everyone since 2017.

Our Story

Skater-Owned In Woodstock Since 2017

Big Poppa's opened because North Georgia skaters were driving an hour to buy a deck from someone who had never stood on one. We fixed that with a shop on Hickory Flat Hwy stocked by riders who know what actually holds up.

Walk in with a question and you get an answer, not a sales pitch. We will tell you the cheaper wheel is the right wheel, size a deck to your feet, and show a first-timer how to stand on it before they pay for anything.

The rest is community. Local sessions, brand demos, contests, and a wall of photos from the people who ride here. That is what a local skate shop is supposed to be.

  • Independent & locally owned
  • Beginner friendly, always
  • Knowledge over sales pressure
  • Backing the local scene

Built on boards,
not Sales Quotas

Since 2017 the shop has been run by people who actually skate. We set up boards on the counter, talk beginners through their first push, and keep the parts wall stocked for everyone riding North Georgia.
